Services status are correlated to the deliverables status, the service status is the status of all the deliverables that are related to that specific service, and the deliverable status is the status of the deliverable that is being worked on.

The projects and the deliverables always have and status that show the step of the flow that they are on the time you consult them, depending of the status you will be able to make some actions on the project or the deliverable.
